Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British artist and composer. Harry Styles was one of the founding members of One Direction. Born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England, on 1 February 1994, he's the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where three of his classmates were part of a group called White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they won. While he has always been attracted to music, despite his enthusiasm, he was thinking about becoming a lawyer and physiotherapist. To help support his loved ones, he spent some time as a part-time worker for a local baker. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. His group was forced by this. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to become member of the new group, One Direction. The Other members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group performed hits like My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the contest. The group was one of the possible winners for the top prize. The group was however placed the third spot behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. However, Harry Styles and his group failed to win the competition, Cowell agreed to pay 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with Syco. Syco recording label.
