Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American after winning American Idol's first season. It brought her to notoriety and led to the contract of RCA Records 19 Recordings, along with 'S Recordings. She has since released numerous studio albums. The three albums reached the US Billboard 200 chart, however, others narrowly missed the mark. Her name is among the most successful artists to have sprung from her participation in the American Idol series. With her professional development it was evident that she experimented with different themes and styles of music. She often co-wrote songs with her husband in order to express her thoughts. Her work was praised by critics and several prestigious awards for her individuality and singing prowess. The most notable accomplishment was that she received 3 Grammy awards. Her music career is not the only thing she is involved in. She has also appeared in television and film. River Rose and the Magical Lullaby is a story for children that she wrote for her daughter.
